Tips to Promote Good Health & Well-Being

Life can be hectic, especially for those who live and work in the city and with so much pollution, living a 21st century life can impact a person’s health & well-being. Whatever your line of work, you need to ensure that you are getting enough physical activity, while enjoying a balanced diet that includes fresh fruit & veg.

Here are a few tips to promote good health & well-being.

  • Have a passion in your life – It might be motor racing or collecting antique pocket watches; we should all have at least one passion and devoting some quality time to your hobby helps you deal with stress. If you’re lucky enough to be passionate about your work, don’t neglect diet and exercise, which are essential.
  • Live in a clean environment – Order some multi surface sanitizer from Benzion, a leading Thai company with all the hygiene solutions. Using a high-level disinfectant on all the hard surfaces in your home is one way of preventing viruses and bacteria from forming, while air purifiers also improve the air quality.
  • Don’t sweat the small stuff – Stress can be a killer and when things go wrong, it should be water off a duck’s back to you. Maintain a positive attitude and train your conscious mind to think only about good things. It isn’t the end of the world if your wing-mirror was knocked off by a cyclist, or you had a minor conflict with a colleague. Yoga is recommended as it develops the mind-spirit-body and most people report stress relief after taking up yoga. If you have trouble sleeping, click here.
  • Everything in moderation – This is a simple, yet effective way to maintain good health and it should apply across the board. If you like a drink, have the self-discipline to stop when you are merry and you’ll thank yourself in the morning; if you have other vices, be aware of the risks and have sensible limits.
  • The great outdoors – There’s nothing like fresh air to create a healthy appetite and Thailand is host to some amazing National Parks, which you can visit most of the time. Cycling is a very popular activity and great for working the major muscle groups, while hiking is another great pastime. Have at least one outdoor activity every weekend and try to get some sunlight, which contains essential Vitamin D.
  • Take a daily A-Z supplement – If you are over 40, you should be taking a daily A-Z pill, which contains everything your body needs. A balanced diet would provide you with everything you need, but some of us are missing out on certain foods and the supplement covers you.
  • Work that body – If you are fit and healthy, you should be working out on a daily basis; 30 minutes in the morning and again in the late afternoon is ideal; one session is better than nothing and works the major muscle groups.

Take a minute to review your lifestyle and you’ll probably find a few things to change; if you work in an office, find a way to be active outside working hours. Our good health is the most valuable thing we have and we should always be monitoring what we do.
