Regional Rural Banks (RRB) refers to the scheduled Indian commercial banks set up at the regional level in different states to meet the needs of the rural areas regarding basic banking and financial services. All the candidates who wish to join these banks have to clear the IBPS RRB Examination.
IBPS RRB is a national level examination conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board for those who aspire to join the Regional Rural Banks. IBPS RRB Selection Process
IBPS RRB selection process is different for each level. For Group-A Officers Scale I, II, and III, the process comprises preliminary examination, Mains/Single level examination, and Interview.
For Office Assistants, the process comprises just a preliminary and a mains exam. There is no interview for office assistants since it is a lower grade post.
For IBPS RRB Officers Scale I, the candidates first have to qualify for a preliminary examination. Based on the preliminary exam marks, candidates qualify for the Mains examination, and those qualifying for the mains exam are called for Interview. Finally, a merit list is prepared for final selection based on Mains examination and interview marks.
For Officers Scale II and III, which is for Managers and Senior Managers, the process comprises just the Mains exam and an Interview. There is no preliminary examination for the said post.
What Is the Salary Structure?
IBPS RRB salary is the driving force behind all candidates to opt for a career with the Regional Rural banks. The salary structure of IBPS RRB of all scales comprises Dearness Allowance, HRA. Travel allowance, Leased accommodation, Medical Reimbursement, Pension scheme, and others. Of course, the salary varies depending on the position and Grade.
The Bipartite settlement, which is the basis of pay revision for all public sector bank employees, has set the salary for 2020 for Office Assistants between Rs.15000 -19000. For Officers Scale I, the salary stands at Rs.29000- Rs.33000. For Scale II, the salary is Rs. 33000 – Rs. 38000, and Rs. 38000, and Rs. 44000 for Scale III.
