Is this your first visit to LA, or are you a seasoned City of Angel’s visitor? There is so much to see and do in the entertainment capital of the world.
Explore Los Angeles aka Hollywood via the best things to do in Los Angeles for adults.
Bronson Canyon
This is what you came for. Everyone wants to see the iconic HOLLYWOOD sign when they come to LA.
Most people will try to drive up to the famous sign, which may prove to be a challenge. It can be tricky to navigate through the tight roads that lead up towards the sign.
Residents aren’t huge fans of tourists, and will often try to confuse people with misleading signs and fake roadblocks. Hiking through Bronson Canyon is about 4 miles round trip, but it’s relaxing, scenic, and is totally worth it.
After your hike, take a short drive to see the stars of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. You can map out your favorites, or just take a nice long stroll to see all of them (over 2500 stars!)
OUE Skyspace Los Angeles
Imagine 360-degree views of LA with a cocktail or mocktail in your hand, just living your best life 1,000 feet above the city.
It’s a spectacular scene any time of day, but especially wonderful at sunset. On the right night, the colors of the LA sunset feel like they were made for places like OUE Skyspace.
Don’t forget the Skyslide, a little 45 ft long thrill on your otherwise relaxing outing in LA. The lower levels of the building have cool interactive things worth checking out, too.
Arts District
Looking for art? Los Angeles has plenty of free art to check out from street art murals painted by local artists to public art installments from world-famous artists.
- Levitated Mass – A 340-ton boulder above a long viewing pathway.
- UrbanLight – Display of streetlamps from the 1920s & 1930s from all over Southern California, lit up from dusk till dawn.
In the area surrounding these free displays of art are several museums that you might enjoy such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Craft Contemporary.
Don’t miss your chance to strike a yoga pose in downtown LA, and snap a photo for your scrapbook. After a day of art appreciation, a private yoga class or meditation session at Serenity Yoga Therapy will put you in a peaceful West Coast state of mind.
Grand Central Market
If you’re hungry, go to Grand Central Market. Since 1917 Los Angeles has been home to this giant market. A hub for grubbing in LA.
No matter what your taste buds are craving Grand Central Market probably has it. From authentic tacos to local seafood (including gourmet oysters), and baristas to breweries.
It’s what the locals recommend when you’re hungry, or thirsty. Some people make an entire day out of it- they go for breakfast, do some shopping, and stay for lunch.
Hit the Beach
A trip to the Pacific Coast requires toes in the California sand at least once. Santa Monica beach would be a great choice because there is also a boardwalk with segway rentals, roller coaster rides, and a variety of restaurants for your dining pleasure that serve coastal delights. Whale watching los angeles or a marine adventure should also be on your list.
