Inverter Technology
Both models are enabled with inverter AC technology, where compressors can internally adjust the rate of airflow to suit environmental needs. To test for HTCS, the cooling capacity of an AC is tested at high outside temperatures of 48 degrees Celsius. LG’s Smart Thinq AC doesn’t display a BEE star grade but instead comes equipped with Active Energy Control that detects the level of heat or activity in the room and adjusts its compressor power. LG Smart Thinq air conditioner saves energy by limiting the power consumption from 40% to 80% based on how crowded a room is and can save up to 57% on energy consumption. Smart Thinq AC requires a power input of 1440 Watts, slightly higher than the Llyod LS18I53ID, to cool at its strongest.
